On the evening of Thursday, December 7, the finale of the Maastricht Human Rights Prize took place. The theme of the Maastricht Human Rights Prize in 2023 was "The Right to Rest and Leisure," one of the freedoms that form the basis of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948. From the submissions, the jury chose 3 winners:

1. LVO – NOVO college Julia van Wersch and her group of students

2. LVO – NOVO college Robert Jungbauer and his group of students

3. UWC - Aimee Elizabeth Ruiz Muljadi

The winners were allowed to allocate a sum of money to a charity. In addition, all finalists received a piece of art by Sanne Vaassen as a token of recognition.
